The East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) have offered their 'deepest condolences' to the family of a 30-year-old motorcyclist who died following a collision with an ambulance yesterday evening (Tuesday).

Speaking this afternoon, Ben Holdaway, Director of Operations at EMAS, said: “We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the motorcyclist at this very difficult time.

“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident. The police are now carrying out an investigation into what happened, and it would therefore be inappropriate for us to make any further comment at this time.”
